Concept Fax Machine for Tim Brown

“A concept fax machine I created for newly employed designer, Tim Brown in1987. Our paths first crossed as colleagues, working for the pioneer of interaction design, Bill Moggridge.”

Although fax technology would be superseded over the following years, there was some very real foresight at play in this concept. The idea that the capacitive touch screen would become a mainstream feature, close to the format shown. Modular connectivity would increase or limit functionality.

Bill would eventually join forces with Mike Nuttall and Dave Kelley to form IDEO. Tim would go on to become CEO.
